Men of Hezekiah
These are more proverbs of Solomon,
compiled by the men of Hezekiah king of Judah:
Chapters 25 through 29 were rescued by Hezekiah, King of Judah.
We owe a big THANK YOU to the Men Of Hezekiah
For rescuing these five Solomonian Proverbs.
THANK YOU, Men of Hezekiah!
Eschew The Profligate
Do not envy the wicked,
do not desire their company;
for their hearts plot violence,
and their lips talk about making trouble.
Why must we avoid the wicked?
They plot violence.
They speak of mischief.
Upon Dining With A Ruler
When you sit to dine with a ruler,
note well what is before you,
and put a knife to your throat
if you are given to gluttony.
Do not crave his delicacies,
for that food is deceptive.
Hot Etiquette Tip For Dining With A Ruler:
Eat sparingly, with trepidation.
Your Good Name
A good name is more desirable than great riches;
to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.
What is more valuable than lucre?
Follow The Leader
In the Lord’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water
that he channels toward all who please him.
The leader who follows the Lord pleases those who follow him.
Seems the blessings of God rub off on others.
